When & what made you start Little Liberty?

I started Little Liberty approximately 12 years ago after having my second child. I started to become obsessed about decorating my own kids rooms as it was a great creative outlet for me as a stay at home Mum! Then my friends started asking me to decorate their kids rooms and so the business took off!

Would people be surprised at what your favourite room to style is?

I think you can see from my instagram account that I really love doing dark moody spaces – even for nurseries! I love using rich colors and textures and bold wallpaper to create a really wow factor in each space.

What’s the one piece of advice you would tell your younger self?

Believe in yourself and the power that you have when you are igniting and using what you are truly passionate about. Sounds so cliché but FIND YOUR PASSION!

If you could style anyone’s home, who’s would it be?

Great Question! Its not a home ….. but I would LOVE to do a nursery for Megan and Harrys baby …. once they get pregnant LOL!!!!

What’s your go-to rug?

Definitely grey with lots of texture! At the moment my favourite Rug Collection rug is the Trieste in Dark Grey. We are putting it into a holiday house in Flinders which is the perfect setting!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A check out chick at Coles.

What’s your biggest design no-no?

Filling the space too much and not allowing the client to overtime add in items from their over travels, passions and experiences.

What couldn’t you do without when creating a space?

My measuring tape and sense of humour!

Who do you instagram stalk for style inspiration?

Kelly Wearstler my absolute favourite! We have just purchased some of her wallpaper that we are going to use for a boys room where we are wallpapering every wall!
